How to Kickflip on a fingerboard?

The Kickflip is one of the most iconic tricks in skateboarding and fingerboarding. If you're just getting started, this tutorial will show you how to do a kickflip on a fingerboard with step-by-step instructions.

Step 1: Proper Finger Position

First, place your index finger near the middle of the deck and your middle finger at the tail. This position helps you maintain balance and control your bounce.

Step 2: Flip the Tail

Press firmly on the tail with your middle finger to flip the deck up. Simultaneously, your index finger should begin to slide toward the edge of the deck.

Step 3: Flip the Deck

As the deck rises, flick your index finger off the front corner of the deck. This motion will cause the deck to spin in a circle.

Step 4: Landing the Deck

Observe the deck's rotation and prepare to catch it with two fingers. After the deck rotates once, place your fingers back on the deck and land smoothly.

Tips for Success

Practice light flicks initially to establish the proper rotational speed.

Keep your movements small and controlled.

Record your attempts to identify areas for improvement.

Mastering the kickflip of fingerboard takes time, but it's one of the most rewarding tricks to learn. With consistent practice, you'll not only be able to perform clean flips but also lay the foundation for more advanced fingerboard tricks.
